Exhibition of Relief including children's design based on the Relief of Achaemenid soldier.
Exhibition of Relief including children's design based on the Relief of Achaemenid soldier. (An artifact from Persepolis, a soldier Achaemenid-era relief that was handed back to Iran from USA)
The exhibition is the result of a group work of students aged between 5 and 9 who at the same time came to the Museum of Ancient Iran at the National Museum of Iran on the occasion of the single exhibition "The relief of Achaemenid Soldier returned from America". The children were introduced the story of this Iranian (sculpture) soldier, and made their own illustrations according the story. Elham Khosravi was their educator who helped the student to create their own artwork through a visual art workshop. The exhibition consists of 56 artwork including 37 relief made of clay and 19 graphic designing with Rollerball pen.
The children at this workshop, while familiarizing themselves with the story of the returned legacy that was very exciting to them, were able to bring their new meanings to the form of artistic works. Handcrafts that show their abilities to understand the concepts of museum and historical- cultural artworks. At visiting these artistic creations, what is highly prominent is a very creative and effective world that features a precious and honorable heritage whose magnificence and creativity is discovered by the children of this land with all their senses without any limitations that is internalized in their heart and soul. Now they themselves are truly soldiers of this land.
The exhibition is organized by the National Museum of Iran, the Virtual International Art Museum and the School of Visual Arts, Badbadak, opened from November4th, 2018 (at the same time as the Student's Day), and will be welcomed by November 19th.
